APS-SMEP Methodological Workshop SeriesEstimation for Better Research: Effect Sizes, Confidence Intervals, and Meta-Analysis
Sunday, May 26, 2013,
9:00 AM - 12:50 PM
This workshop explains why an estimation approach (The New Statistics) is better than null hypothesis significance testing, and describes how to calculate and interpret effect sizes, confidence intervals and meta-analysis, for a range of measures and designs. It uses the interactive simulations of ESCI (Exploratory Software for Confidence Intervals). There is more information at www.thenewstatistics.com.
