Our government is broken. Negativity toward Congress is at an all-time high, with hyperpartisanship as the new bigotry in the US. In this address, Halpern will use the lens of psychological science to view the problem and to suggest corrective actions that we can take to reduce it.

Diane F. Halpern is a recipient of the Association for Psychological Science (APS) James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award for her lifetime of significant intellectual achievements in applied psychological research and their impact on a critical problem in society.

Halpern will sign copies of her books immediately following her APS Award Address.
