Tribute to J. Richard Hackman: So There is an 'I' in Teams…and a 'We'… and a 'Circumstance'...

James McKeen Catell Fellow Award winner J. Richard Hackman’s research has profoundly influenced our understanding of organizational teams. As a tribute to his bracketing notion (2003), top team scholars present research on attributes of team members, teams, and the team's context that shape and constrain team behavior. How Hackman’s work inspired and will continue to influence research in these areas is discussed.

APS notes with great sadness the passing of J. Richard Hackman, on January 8, 2013.
