On Voodoo Dolls and Cinnamon Rolls: Testing A Novel Metatheory of Behavior in the Domains of Intimate Partner Violence and Eating Behavior

I³ (I-Cubed) Theory is a novel metatheory that imposes theoretical coherence on the various predictors of behavior. Results from a series of studies designed to test I3-Theory-derived hypotheses in two domains—intimate partner violence and eating behavior—identify a “perfect storm” situation that is especially likely to promote such behaviors.
