An important career management strategy, in academe and other professional organizations, is to create a network: to develop and maintain relationships that are critical for academic success and career advancement. Developing and maintaining a network is important for collaborative research, but also for optimizing scientific productivity and job satisfaction. In a meeting organized by Women in Cognitive Science, a panel of renowned scholars will discuss strategies that will benefit junior and senior scientists to reach out to new contacts and keep in touch with established contacts.
