Behavioral Neurostimulation: Creating Neural Contexts for Adaptive Memory

Saturday, May 24, 2014, 1:40 PM - 2:15 PM
Imperial Ballroom B

Motivation moves us through the world, making models of it as we go. New research shows how motivated states alter brain responses to new and unexpected information and bias the contents of memory. How might these biases contribute to mental health vulnerabilities? How might we leverage greater understanding of motivated states to develop new interventions?

This is part of the Changing Neurobiology with Behavior Neurobiological Consequences of Behavior Theme Program.
