How do I submit a postdoc listing?
Postdoc listings may be submitted using the online form. Listings are free to place and search and you do not have to be an APS Member.

Is there a special way text should be formatted?
There is no special formatting required to submit a postdoc listings. Text can be pasted or typed into the Postdoc Description text box on the online form. The postdoc description will display without special formatting, such as bold or italics.

What information is needed to submit a postdoc listing?
When submitting a listing, you will be prompted to include:

  • Listing Title (required)
  • Listing Category (i.e., Biological/Neuroscience, Clinical, Cognitive, Developmental, Educational, Experimental, General, Industrial/Organizational, Personality/Social, Quantitative, or Interdisciplinary) (required)
  • Website
  • Institution name (required)
  • Contact information for applicants, including:
    • Name (required)
    • E-mail (required)
    • Phone number
    • Country (required)
    • State/province
    • City
  • Postdoc Description (required)
  • Deadline date (required)


Yes, you can include your institution’s logo. You will be prompted to upload a logo while submitting your listing through the online form. Logos should be approximately 200 pixels by 200 pixels. If you need assistance submitting a logo, please contact Allison Cupps by email or call (202) 293-9300.

How long can the postdoc description be?
Descriptions of the postdoc may be a maximum of 5,000 characters.

Will my postdoc listing appear in the online APS Employment Network or Observer print magazine?
Postdoc listings are only included in the free online Postdoc Exchange. There is a fee to advertise in the online Employment Network — viewed by thousands of visitors each month – and Observer — circulated to the 23,000 APS Members. Rates and information about placing your postdoc listing in the APS Employment Network and Observer, are available at www.psychologicalscience.org/index.php/employment.

How can I pay for my ad?
There is no fee for listings in the APS Postdoc Exchange.

Can I change or cancel my postdoc listing?
You will be prompted to enter the date you wish your postdoc listing to stop appearing online (most often the application deadline). If you wish to change or cancel your listing after you’ve submitted it, please contact Allison Cupps by email or call (202) 293-9300.
