| THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY AT FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY seeks applicants for two open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions, to begin fall 2013, in the legal psychology program. Successful candidates will join a growing department with PhD programs in Child-Adolescent Clinical Science, Developmental Science, Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Legal Psychology. A PhD in legal Psychology (or related area) is required. Clear preference will be given to applicants with a clear track record (senior positions) or potential for (junior faculty) external funding. Successful applicants will also be individuals with a record of or strong interest in interdisciplinary collaboration across the University, including, law, criminology, and public health. Our legal psychology program is one of the strongest in the country, and we seek faculty who will complement or expand upon the interests of our current faculty (witness memory, investigative interviewing, deception detection, eyewitness identification and vulnerable witness and suspect issues). Potential areas for these hires could be judicial or jury decision-making, psychopathy, procedural justice, juvenile justice/delinquency, violence risk assessment, facial perception, and legal aspects of substance.
