|Assistant Professor of Human Neuroscience or Neuropsychology|
| Transylvania University, an independent, residential, liberal arts college, invites applications for a tenure track position in human neuroscience or neuropsychology starting September 2013. Ph.D. in psychology or related discipline required by start date. Training in brain imaging or in techniques for recording or influencing real time brain function (electroencephalography, magnetoencephalography, transcranial magnetic stimulation) required. Research focus of candidate must center on human brain function.
Commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level, conducting research, participating in service to the college required. Successful candidate will teach courses in the major (General Psychology, Research Methods, Statistical Analysis) and develop courses for the new interdisciplinary neuroscience major. Teaching assignments (7 courses per year) include contribution to the first-year interdisciplinary core curriculum on a rotating basis. Bingham Awards for Excellence in Teaching may provide start-up awards for recent Ph.D.s or substantial salary supplements after tenure.
