Job Description:
Roger Williams University is seeking an individual at the level of Associate or Full Professor for the position of Chair of the Department of Psychology. The Department consists of 12 full-time faculty members and serves approximately 375 undergraduate majors as well as masters-level programs in Forensic and Clinical Psychology. The area of specialization within Psychology is open. Teaching responsibilities include courses within the candidate’s area of expertise, as well as courses in the Department’s research methods sequence.

This position will begin July 1, 2013. The Search Committee will begin reviewing applications on November 5, 2012 and will continue until the position is filled.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field with the appropriate academic credentials to be tenured within the Psychology Department. The successful applicant will have a strong record of teaching, scholarship, and service. Candidates must also have a strong record of administrative experience, excellent communications skills, and demonstrated leadership ability as well as experience in curricular and program development.
