| IUPUC—Indiana University-Purdue University Columbus— has delivered high-quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs aligned with and responsive to regional educational needs since 1970. A tenure-track appointment in Psychology at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor is available August 2013 in the Division of Science. Rank is dependent on qualifications and research history. The position is a ten-month teaching assignment.
Requirements: An earned doctorate in psychology or related field. Ability to teach a variety of courses across the discipline at various academic levels, including biopsychology courses, i.e., perception, behavioral neuroscience, drugs and behavior, health psychology, and introductory psychology courses. Evidence of ability to establish an active research program leading to publications in quality journals. Participation in service activities. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must. Successful teaching at the university level is very important. Note: IUPUC does not conduct animal research.
Preferences: Minimum two years’ experience teaching traditional/non-traditional undergraduate students. Interest in mentoring undergraduate students in research. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate with faculty across disciplines. Record of teaching and serving underrepresented populations and first generation college students.

IUPUC is located one hour south of Indianapolis, 1¼ hours from Louisville, and 1½ hours from Cincinnati. Columbus is known for its world class architecture, wonderful programs for young children, many parks, excellent philharmonic orchestra, and people trails. IUPUC has a staff of 60 full-time faculty with excellent credentials and enrolls 2,000 students annually.
