| Penn State Harrisburg, School of Behavioral Sciences and Education, invites applications for a tenure-track appointment as an Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin August 2013. An earned doctorate in psychology, or a related academic field, and licensure or license eligibility as a psychologist, required.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated research excellence in health psychology, specifically child or adult health related to psychological outcomes. The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate students, maintain an active research agenda, and provide service. Teaching responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in child health psychology, health psychology, research methods, and other courses. Applicants must have excellent communication skills and demonstrated commitment to professional service and academic excellence.
The psychology program offers a BS in psychology and two MA degrees, Applied Psychological Research and Applied Clinical Psychology, which may lead to licensure as a therapist. The College is located near the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, which facilitates collaborative research opportunities.
