The Psychology Department at North Central College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology. This position is a one-year, non-tenure track appointment starting September 2013 and is renewable for up to three years. A doctorate in Psychology or related area is required; teaching experience is preferred. Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentoring, as well as a commitment to scholarship that includes collaborative research with undergraduates. We seek candidates who can teach courses in their area of specialization and in our core courses (Introductory Psychology, Statistics, and Research Methods). All areas will be considered, although we have immediate needs in Developmental, Clinical, and Health Psychology. There may be opportunities to teach in the College’s interdisciplinary general education program and to serve as academic advisor to undergraduate Psychology majors.
