| Pace University is seeking applicants for an anticipated tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department in Pleasantville, New York to begin fall 2013. The department includes one of the largest majors in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, with high quality undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
The successful candidate will teach the entire range of undergraduate-level courses as well as some graduate courses in the counseling program, advise students, and conduct research in social and personality psychology. A demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning and excellence in teaching is required as well as evidence of social/personality research.
The successful candidate must have completed the doctorate in a psychology specialty. Preference will be given to those with a Ph.D. in social or personality psychology. The successful candidate should be committed to undergraduate education and be prepared and able to offer classroom instruction and appropriate mentorship to each of the department’s undergraduate and graduate constituencies; be prepared and able to guide students in effectively and professionally planning and executing research projects. The successful candidate should have been involved in a program of research and be prepared to develop, initiate, and successfully implement a program of research and scholarship in collaborative efforts with senior researchers in the department.
