The Department of Psychology is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor for a psychologist on our Queens campus.

The successful applicant should 1) have expertise in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder, the assessment of individuals with the disorder, and interventions for the individuals with such problems, 2) be able to teach undergraduate and graduate course in his/her areas of specialization., 3) be able to sustain a research program in this area. The applicant should also be able to mentor undergraduate and graduate research project, masters theses, and doctoral dissertations.


• An earned doctorate in School, or Child Clinical, or Clinical Psychology, potential to start a research program, publications, and the ability to attract external funding, and become involved in a new University based Autism Assessment and Treatment Center.

• This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with employment contingent upon satisfactory results. If access to a University vehicle is required for the position, a DMV check for driving record and valid driver's license is also required.

The psychology department offers a large undergraduate major, Masters Degrees in General/Experimental and School Psychology, a PsyD in School Psychology, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
