Ensure that existing and new program content and delivery are of consistently high quality, by overseeing regular and timely reviews of curriculum, facilitating the sharing of best practices between campuses, balancing local campus interests with national quality imperatives, and balancing the needs of particular programs with the needs of the whole discipline. Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Key Job Elements
Ensure that existing and new program content and delivery are of consistently high quality, facilitating the sharing of best practices between campuses and balancing local campus interests with national quality imperatives, and the needs of particular programs with the needs of the whole discipline.
Report annually on status of program quality: achievement of outcomes, retention, curriculum currency and rigor, adequacy of support services.
Effectively and efficiently lead face-to-face and teleconference meetings with campus-based discipline leaders across the University and work collaboratively with the Academic Affairs staff and other College Deans.
Articulate and implement a vision for strategic programmatic development that will aid University's growth and competitive position.
In partnership with campus administrators, develop a robust conceptual framework, program and course learning outcomes, and ensure that direct measurement, rubrics and curriculum mapping is in place throughout the College.
In partnership with campus administrators, lead annual and comprehensive reviews of programs and curriculum.
Coordinate the planning and implementation of new program initiatives.
Pursue or maintain accreditation of programs within the College, such as APA and CACREP.
Interview and recommend program Chair hires. Contribute to performance reviews of program chairs.
