The Psychology program in the Social Sciences Department at Saint Leo University is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, tenure track, faculty position to teach psychology courses at our South Hampton Roads locations in South Hampton Roads, Virginia. Area of specialization is open with the exception of social psychology. We are especially interested in clinical or developmental faculty who have teaching interests and experience in research methods/statistics and History and Systems.

This is a twelve (12) month, year round, full-time faculty appointment with two (2) months release time to be determined in consultation with the department chair. Duties include an 9 course load per calendar year, advising students, engaging in curriculum development, engaging in scholarly research, undertaking community service in keeping with the school’s Benedictine values, teach on-ground, online, and through video technology, be able to teach traditional and non-traditional age students, demonstrate the ability to use discipline-related computer programs, and provide support to the initiatives of the Social Sciences department. This position is pending final budgetary approval for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Doctorate from a regionally accredited institution with credentials to teach courses in area of specialization per accreditation guidelines is required.
