| Requisition Number: FTFR000170 Division/College: Bouve College of Health Sciences FT/PT: Full Time Position Summary: The Bouvé College of Health Sciences of Northeastern University seeks an innovative and dynamic leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Counseling and Applied Educational Psychology at the rank of Full Professor. The Department prepares students to meet the behavioral, mental, educational, and developmental health needs of children and adults within an ecological and multicultural perspective and to conduct research in applied psychology. In addition to the responsibilities of a Full Professor (teaching, scholarship, and service), the Chairperson provides collaborative and energetic leadership in the recruitment and development of high caliber faculty and manages the administrative affairs of the Department. In partnership with the faculty, the Chair is expected to take the Department to the next level of excellence in research, program quality, and development. Qualifications: The required qualifications include a PhD degree in psychology or equivalent in closely related field; a record of external funding and research appropriate for the academic rank of Full Professor; demonstrated administrative, leadership, and interpersonal skills; a record of innovative program development and interdisciplinary collaboration; and documented teaching effectiveness.
