Saint Francis University invites applications for a tenure track position at the Assistant Professor Level to begin Fall 2013. Primary teaching responsibilities include undergraduate sport psychology, health and exercise psychology, and introductory psychology. The successful candidate will also assist the department with classes in one of a number of possible areas, such as abnormal psychology, behavior modification, clinical-community psychology, and upper-level special topics courses. Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, use of active pedagogies, advising undergraduate majors, multicultural education, and departmental and university governance. Interest in involving undergraduate psychology majors in ongoing laboratory or community-based research is essential.
Saint Francis University Psychology department has a strong track record in mentoring students for entry into graduate programs ad for immediate post-graduate employment. SFU Psychology faculty members also have the opportunity to participate in various other curricular and co-curricular programs, including interdisciplinary Social Responsibility Minor, an interdisciplinary Neuroscience Minor, and the newly revised SFU general education program. SFU is a Division I University. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Psychology (qualified ABD’s will be considered).
