The Department of Psychology and Sociology at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology position to begin August, 2013.
Candidates must have a master’s degree in psychology and prior university teaching experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. Distance learning teaching experience is also beneficial. This is a 9-month position with a 4-4 teaching load. The primary responsibility for this person is to teach undergraduate courses in introductory psychology and courses within their area of expertise, with special consideration given to those candidates with a background in clinical/counseling psychology. Teaching assignments may include evening courses. Other duties include holding office hours and all aspects of management and reporting about the courses taught, as well as participating in departmental, College, and University life. Familiarity with assessment and technology would be beneficial.
