| Bucknell University, Department of Psychology, invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track position beginning in August 2014 in the area of Clinical Psychology with a specialization in behavioral or community health. We seek a teacher-scholar who is committed to inclusive pedagogy and whose experience and expertise will contribute to working effectively with a diverse student body. As part of the five-course per year teaching load, the successful candidate will be expected to teach from among: General Psychology (individual or team-taught options), lecture and research methods courses in Health Psychology, and an advanced seminar in the candidate's area of interest.
Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates will also be expected to contribute to our College Core Curriculum; opportunities and institutional support exist for developing first-year foundation seminars, sophomore-year team-taught integrated perspective courses, and writing-intensive courses in the discipline. An active research program that involves mentorship of undergraduates is expected.
Opportunity exists to supervise Master's degree students in Psychology. Opportunity exists to take part in the Bucknell University Geisinger Medical Center Research Initiative.
For an entry-level hire, a PhD in Clinical Psychology is preferred, and postdoctoral research experience is desirable. Appointment at a senior rank will be considered for outstanding candidates with demonstrated success in undergraduate mentorship and a record of leadership consistent with the teacher-scholar model.
