|Assistant or Associate Professor|
University of Pittsburgh
| The Department of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking to fill a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the area of child clinical and developmental psychology, pending budgetary approval. The candidate should have doctoral training in child clinical psychology coupled with a strong background and research interests in developmental psychopathology. The ideal candidate will also have a strong background and training in basic processes and mechanisms of normative development, integrating this with issues in psychopathology. The candidate is expected to play a prominent role in joint training in our Clinical and Developmental Psychology graduate programs, conduct an independent program of research, and have a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Areas of interest are open (e.g., anxiety, depression, conduct problems, autism, prevention/intervention), but it is critical that the candidate’s research apply a developmental perspective to a clinical issue relevant to children and/or adolescents, with issues relevant to historically underrepresented minority groups especially welcome.
