Assistant Professor in Quantitative Psychology

The Psychology Department at Michigan State University is seeking an outstanding psychologist with expertise in quantitative psychology for an academic year tenure system appointment at the rank of assistant professor effective Fall 2014. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong program of visible research, seek external funding, and commit to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching of quantitative courses. We welcome applications from any area of quantitative psychology. We are especially interested in candidates who have expertise in measurement/psychometrics and multivariate methods (e.g., advanced structural equation modeling techniques, multilevel modeling, latent variable models, longitudinal methods), and would also welcome candidates who have interests in more specialized methods (e.g., Bayesian data analysis, computational modeling, meta-analysis, propensity score analysis, and system dynamics). The person filling this position may affiliate with any of the six graduate programs within the department: Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical, Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience, Ecological-Community, Organizational, or Social/Personality.
