The Department of Psychology at Cleveland State University invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position with open rank in Psychology, with the appointment to be effective in Fall, 2014. We seek candidates with expertise in the fields of adult development and/or aging to serve as faculty in our Adult Development and Aging Doctoral Program and our Master's Program. The doctoral program is a joint program with the University of Akron and provides training in both basic and applied programs of research. Our Master's Program has five areas of specialization and our undergraduate program has approximately 700 majors. We welcome applications from candidates whose training is in any area of psychology including, but not limited to, cognitive, developmental, clinical, experimental, geropsychology, health, neurosciences, and/or social psychology. Primary responsibilities will be to serve as faculty in our Adult Development and Aging Doctoral Program and our Master's degree Program, including teaching courses, supervising and serving as a committee member for student theses and dissertations, contributing to graduate program development and management, engaging students in the candidate's program of research, and actively pursuing external research funding. Responsibilities also include service in program, departmental, college, and university faculty governance and may include teaching undergraduate courses

Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. in psychology or related field by the starting date of July 1, 2014.

Preferred Qualifications:
A record of scholarship commensurate with rank and experience; research and teaching interests in adult development and/or aging; successful teaching experience; experience advising and supervising Master's and Doctoral level students; postdoctoral research experience; experience seeking external funding for research commensurate with rank and experience; and experience obtaining external funding for research commensurate with rank and experience.
