Tenure-Track Position in Biopsychology and/or Behavioral Neuroscience

The Department of Psychology at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning in Fall 2014. We seek a colleague with teaching and research expertise in Biopsychology and/or Behavioral Neuroscience (broadly defined) who will contribute to the Psychology Department and our cross-disciplinary Biological Foundations of Behavior Program.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active, independent research program; initiate and guide undergraduate student research; and teach five courses per year including Biopsychology with lab and other courses in his/her area of expertise, (e.g., Psychopharmacology, Addiction, Neuroendocrinology, Clinical Neuroscience, and/or contributions to general education). The Department has excellent teaching and research resources, including both human research facilities and a vivarium for use in IACUC-approved research and teaching activities.

Ph.D. and evidence of excellence in teaching and research are required.
