| The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Olivet Nazarene University is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position for a professorship in psychology. While the area of specialization is open, the successful candidate must have completed doctoral work by August of 2014 and be qualified to teach research methods and statistics courses, as well as some experimentally oriented courses such as physiological psychology or learning and behavior modification. The academic rank for hiring is also open and will depend upon the teaching experience and expertise of the candidate. Olivet is located in Bourbonnais, Illinois and is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene, an evangelical denomination in the Wesleyan holiness tradition. Thus, the successful candidate must be able to provide a statement of faith indicating a relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle in harmony with Christian principles. A statement outlining the candidate’s teaching philosophy is also required. The department will begin reviewing applications immediately and will continue to do so until the position is filled.
