University of Miami, Division of Health Psychology seeks a tenure track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor, whose research interests complement or expand upon current faculty interests in cancer, cardiovascular disease, HIV/AIDS, metabolic syndrome and Type 2 diabetes. Ph.D. in Psychology required. Interest in minority health disparities research would be viewed favorably. Appointment at rank higher than Assistant Professor requires experience and qualifications commensurate with rank. Division has close affiliation with Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the University’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute and has an NIH pre- and post-doctoral training grant in behavioral medicine approaches to cardiovascular disease. Special interest in applicants who have established an independent research program and would benefit from conducting research in an interdisciplinary setting with ready access to ethnic/racial minority patients and community populations via the Department’s Behavioral Medicine Research Center. Department has an APA accredited clinical training program and would look positively upon clinical applicants with Ph.D. from an APA accredited clinical psychology program.
