Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Saint Peter’s University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning in Fall 2014, pending AY 14-15 budget approval. Candidates in any area of Psychology are encouraged to apply, although preference will be given to those who have an experimental focus with an area of specialization that would broaden our current offerings. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in psychology with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an active program of scholarship that will afford undergraduate students opportunities to participate in basic or applied research. Teaching expectations include introductory psychology, research methods, and courses and laboratories in the area of specialization. Jersey City is a revitalized urban community that is a short 15 minute train ride to Manhattan.
