| CNU Department of Psychology invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting 8/18/14. The Department provides a strong foundation in scientific psychology, offers BA and BS in psychology and supports requirements for interdisciplinary Neuroscience program and MAT program. CNU seeks outstanding teacher-scholars who are committed to undergraduate education in the context of liberal learning, pursue an active research agenda, and engage students in creative intellectual challenges. The Department is located in a new $80 million, 157,000 square foot integrated science center with state of the art equipment, laboratory classrooms, and research lab spaces. Evidence of commitment to teaching and learning excellence and engagement in a productive line of research or show of promise for such a productive scholarly program required. Specialization open and applications from any area of Psychology are encouraged, especially Sensation/Perception, Health Psychology, or Human Sexuality, or related specializations. Preference given to candidates who demonstrate ability for excellence in teaching, have active research/publication history that could involve undergraduate students, and can teach courses in introductory psychology, research methods, statistics, and biopsychology, plus courses in applicant’s area of specialization. Ph.D. in Psychology required for appointment at Assistant Professor. ABDs considered for non-tenure-track appointment at Instructor. Nominal teaching load for Assistant Professor is 3-3 and 4-4 for Instructor.
