The Department of Psychology in Arts and Science at New York University seeks applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position starting in Fall 2014 (although a Spring 2014 start date may be considered), pending budgetary and administrative approval. The primary role of this position is to assist the Psychology Department with implementing and teaching advanced undergraduate statistics and data analysis courses. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching undergraduate statistics in psychology or related disciplines. Although some research and professional activity will be a plus, the primary duties of the position will focus on teaching six courses per year, including statistical consulting to undergraduate students, doctoral students and post docs in the department.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in research methods and statistical methods, including hands-on data analysis using popular software such as SPSS, R and/or Excel. A completed Ph.D. in psychology, statistics or related areas is required. Candidates are also expected to have expertise in a core area of psychology or related science.
