The SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY of the GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY invites applications for an immediate opening for a 12-month non-tenure track instructional faculty position (lecturer). This position would be eligible for regular benefits (e.g., health insurance, vacation/sick leave). A Ph.D. in psychology is required in an area related to the courses listed in the 'Duties of the Lecturer' below. In addition, some form of prior teaching experience is required. Duties of the Lecturer include:

(i) Instruction. The lecturer will teach eight sections of psychology per year (over fall, spring and summer semesters), focused primarily in the areas of social, personality, abnormal, and introductory psychology.

(ii) Curriculum Coordination. The lecturer will assist the Associate Chair in coordinating the psychology curriculum. This assistance might include course scheduling and academic advising of majors.

(iii) It is expected that, over time, the individual will take on additional responsibilities. These may include the preparation of grant applications in support of instructional/pedagogical and experiential learning activities, development of new courses, and coordinating teaching assistants.
