| The Department of Psychology at Lafayette College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2015. We seek applicants with expertise in Neuroscience. Area of specialization is open, although we are especially interested in applicants whose research involves animal models. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, a strong record of research scholarship, and experience teaching undergraduates. The successful candidate should be able to teach core courses in both psychology and neuroscience, such as Introduction to Psychological Science, Quantitative Methods, Design & Analysis, Physiological Psychology, Introduction to Neuroscience, and Advanced Neuroscience. All faculty members are expected to involve undergraduates in research and to mentor them in independent scholarship. The Psychology Department is part of the College’s Natural Sciences Division and jointly administers the interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program with the Biology Department. We offer competitive start-up funds and space for research in a well-equipped psychology and neuroscience building.
