Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Clinical Neuropsychology

The School of Psychology is one of the largest and most successful schools of psychology in Australia, and its strong reputation is built on excellence in both research and teaching. The School has the largest postgraduate professional psychology program in Australia, within which clinical neuropsychology is offered in combination with clinical psychology in the professional doctorate. The School has collaborative relationships with researchers and practitioners in neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry and clinical neuropsychology at a number of hospitals, as well as with University of Queensland research institutes and centres such as the Queensland Brain Institute, the Centre for Advanced Imaging and the Centre for Clinical Research.

The role: The School of Psychology is currently seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in the field of Clinical Neuropsychology. The appointee will undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, clinical neuropsychology supervision, research supervision, and research in relevant areas. The successful applicant will be expected to develop an independent program of externally funded research. Course coordination and administrative service within the School will be required.

The person: Applicants will hold a PhD in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology or a very closely related discipline, and be a registered psychologist with endorsement in (or eligibility for endorsement in) clinical neuropsychology. The appointee will have a developing international reputation for his or her research in clinical neuropsychology, have a strong research track record, a reputation for high quality teaching, and be an experienced research supervisor.

Remuneration: The appointment will be made on a full-time, continuing basis at Academic Level B or C depending upon qualifications, experience and achievements. The remuneration package of an Academic Level B appointment will be in the range of AUD$83,904 - $99,635 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of AUD$98,167 – $116,574 p.a.). The remuneration package of an Academic Level C appointment will be in the range of AUD$102,782 - $118,513 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range of AUD$120,255 - $138,661 p.a.).
