Assistant Professor - Cognitive Neuroscience of Perceptual Development

The Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream appointment in the field of developmental Cognitive Neuroscience. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will begin on July 1, 2015.

The Department seeks an emerging scholar with an exceptional research record, complementing the existing strengths of the Department. We are especially interested in candidates with a research background in cognitive neuroscience with specialization in perceptual development. The successful candidate will combine a strong grounding in theory with modern neuroimaging methods. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain an active, externally-funded program of research and be committed to both undergraduate and graduate education. Evidence of excellence in teaching and research is necessary. Applicants must have earned a PhD in Psychology or a related field such as Neuroscience or Cognitive Science by July 1, 2015 or soon thereafter. We invite applications from outstanding scholars in all areas of the cognitive neuroscience of perceptual development, but priority will be given to candidates whose areas of expertise connects well with those of current faculty members across different fields. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
