The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for a nine-month probationary tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Social Psychology. Area of specialization is open. The department has 500 undergraduate majors, 170 graduate students, and 33 full-time faculty members. Faculty members in the department are expected to supervise theses in their area of specialization, and teach courses at all levels for both graduate and undergraduate students, and generate and sustain their own program of research.
Qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD with Ph.D. imminent) in Social Psychology, openness to teaching at all levels based on department needs, and a record and promise of developing a strong program of research. Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law. The position begins August 16, 2017. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
