The Effects of Partial Sleep Deprivation on Attractiveness and Social Appeal

In an experimental study, we showed that sleep deprived people were perceived as less attractive and that others were less willing to socialize with these individuals. Sleep deprivation did, however, not affect their trustworthiness. These findings suggest that sleep history may have important consequences for social interactions.
